What we need you to do:

Updated picket guidance in light of the new Omicron variant is attached, and further guidance is available on the UCU website.

  • Wear a mask,
  • Maintain 2 m social distance,
  • Do a Lateral Flow Test before attending the picket line. Get yours here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
  • Anyone with Covid-19 symptoms should not attend and should self-isolate and book a PCR test,
  • Dress for the weather, going to feel cold, but hopefully dry.
  • Please bring your food and drink – we will not be able to provide refreshments.

What we will do:

  • Collect names and phone numbers for contact tracing purposes,
  • Have hand sanitiser available,
  • Inform UCU Scotland who will inform Police Scotland that we will be picketing,

If you don’t feel able to participate in the picket, then strike.
